In the women’s 70 kg category final, 23-year-old Arundhati Choudhary delivered a masterclass to defeat England’s Chantelle Reid with a dominant 5-0 unanimous decision, securing India’s 11th gold medal of the Games.
What makes Arundhati’s victory truly extraordinary is that she entered the ring and fought through a severe 102-degree fever, turning her final bout into an unforgettable triumph.

Meanwhile, in the women’s 75 kg final, Olympic bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain put up a hard-fought battle but had to settle for the silver medal after a narrow 4-1 split decision loss to Australia’s Emma-Sue Greentree.

Alongside Arundhati, gold medals were claimed by Preeti Pawar (54 kg), Sakshi Choudhary (51 kg), Jaismine Lamboria (57 kg), and Priya Ghanghas (60 kg).
